Those that went “red”, be allowed to organize into a separate nation, based on the constitutional principles that once governed the United States of America. Those that went “blue” may set up whatever kind of cockamamie socialist-theocratic-tyrannical-despotic regimes they like, but the it would then be incumbent on the “red” districts to strictly limit and use extreme vetting on any individuals who wished to migrate back into the “red” districts from “blue” districts. Those who cannot stand the prosperity that would arise in the “red” districts would be free to depart for any of the “blue” districts that would accept them, but it would be a strictly one-way-one-time choice, no reneges or do-overs.
They would never let the productive half of this country stop feeding, housing, and schooling the unproductive half.
