TRUMPS CONTRACT WITH AMERICA

Posted on 09/15/2016 2:50:14 PM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Trump alluded to one in a recent interview. Since he is a man of contracts I would think that he would have us buzzing about that subject with Newt's input. I remember the buzz all summer in 94' with the formal announcement ceremony arriving in late September. This time around we would need only 5-6 'promises'. This time it should be directed towards millennials/young blacks. Watch the liberal fur fly.

I can see Newt having a big role in the Trump administration.

Newt needs to be by Trump’s side advising him on policy and congressional matters daily.

You are right. Newt was the original contract fella. He knows how it is put together. Perhaps the GOP should not go to that well until the ‘perfect’ opportunity presents itself. No expertise in that department.

Several weeks ago Newt mentioned a Contract with America coming in September?

The contract with America was a big success. Lots of Common sense ideas a few of them where even implemented. Good idea for Trump.

I’ve been saying Contract with America 2.0 for a very long time. Since 2012. Back when Newt was still running in the Primaries. Even emailed him. And then Romney. Maybe Trump will do it.

Would this be the same Newt Gingrich that took a page from the Clinton Middle Class tax cut speech (I tried and tried to find a way to cut taxes—paraphrased) with his excuses for FAILING to pass the two MOST critical points in the 1994 Republican Contract with America (We were not able to whip up enough votes—paraphrased). Shall I remind you of the two items he waited until the last to push and exerted about 1/3 of the effort of the other eight? They were 1)TERM LIMITS 2)BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT. Can you imagine an economy not strapped with $18 Trillion in recognized debt and $70+ Trillion entitlement debt? Can you imagine a Congress without the likes of Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Lindsay Graham, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, Pat Leahy, Olympia Snow, Susan Collins, Elijah Cummings, Nancy Pelosi, Gerald Nadler, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, and on and on, one Progressive after another. And trust me, if he could have found a way, Newt Gingrich would still be there.

I remember how the vile communists in the media slandered Gingrich and company by calling it the Contract On America.
