If the military turns against it’s own country, then for many soldiers, there will be no “home” for them to return to when they are injured or “spent”. Their own patriotic families will reject them!
The government will find it has no replacements unless they try to finance foreign soldiers or force a draft.
When I responded to the draft I passed the physical but not the loyalty test. The Sergeant asked if I could support President Johnson as a Goldwater supporter.
I replied that when I raised my right hand, I swore to the Constitution, not the President. It took me 2.3 years to get drafted.
Today, how many people (military, FBI, police, Senators, Representatives, Governors, County Commissioners, civilians) who have taken that oath would take it seriously in an extreme violation of the Constitution?
In slow, creeping violations of the Constitution we see that most of those who took the oath find excuses not to take it seriously, don’t we?
If we look to how this has played out in other countries, sometimes the gov’t starves its people and denies them work, education, privileges, etc. unless they are “good little subjects”. In USSR, Ger, etc. you survived and got ahead by working for the ones in power. You had employment, your children got to go to the good schools, healthcare, you got “taken care of”. I suspect something similar (or worse) may possibly be in store for patriots, should the Globals succeed. Time will tell.
