I tried to open the following file into the VLC Media dialog box and nothing happened:

Something needs tweeking to get it to play. Maybe it’s because the url is a twitter file.

I got it to work! After downloading the VLC program, I needed to restart my computer. Now the video plays just by clicking the play icon. I actually had a older version of VLC and I needed the update.
