A 1000-yard shot on a game animal seems highly unethical regardless of accuracy claims.

“A 1000-yard shot on a game animal seems highly unethical regardless of accuracy claims.”

Which instinctively raises the question, at what distance do you find the line that divides between ethical and unethical?

AND, the even more important question: WHO DECIDES?

Hmmmmmmmmm????????????

Not only that, if it is a warm day and the game has been running with adrenaline levels high, the meat would be blood-shot and ruined by the time the hunter could get to it. I have seen hunters take a 300 yard shot across a small valley in the Cascades and it was several hours getting to the game.

Why, because the hunter had to go down the canyon and then up the other side. The country is very steep.

Last 2 deer I harvested were from 10’ and about 25’ ... should I feel guilty too?
