I see it all the time as a golfer. Young women strut around like they’re the second coming of Ben Hogan. Some are okay at the sport, many aren’t good. On the other side, many young guys seem to have no muscular strength and guys 50 plus can crush a ball a lot farther.

I'll admit that there are exceptions to a rule. But the fact is that on average, males are stronger then females when it comes to muscles. In my younger days at work I used to play baseball on department teams. There were some women who could knock the ball out of the park farther and higher than the guys. Amazon ladies do exist! Us guys would just gawk in amusement as those ladies ran the bases for their home runs. But they are the exception, not the rule. Same goes for guys; there are a lot of weakling young guys but there are also a lot of tough strong guys who balance out the stats. Being over 50 and strong is impressive, as many people let themselves go as they age.

I don't disagree that there are a lot more wimpy younger
guys now a days than when I was in my 20's, but crushing
a drive has more to do with technique than raw strength,
IMHO. I am a fairly strong 50 y/o and if I try to muscle the
ball, bad things happen. :~)
