I was surfing the TV one day and came across this program about black women and their hair. It had a bunch of black celebrities and to a person, both the men and the women said rule number 1 was never touch a black woman’s hair.
I believe that you were watching “Good Hair”, a documentary that Chris Rock did about black peoples’ hair.
It’s true though, don’t touch a black woman’s weave unless you want to lose a hand!
That’s the one!
One of the funniest things to see is a fight between black females (2 or more) because inevitably they will start ripping out each other’s weaves, leaving the hair all over the ground.
They wonder why they’re “impoverished” when they spend an average of $400 per headful of hair extensions. I can’t justify that kind of expense for car repairs.
Seems like a lot of money to me. Last fall, I broke my arm and couldn’t do anything more with my hair than wash and comb it. That was fine for work, but I wanted it a little nicer for church on Sunday. So I made an appointment every week at the local cosmetology school. I spent less than $15 and my hair looked great! :-)
