I pointedly disagree. Whatever the globalists thought was in their self-interest, untrammeled immigration contained the seeds of its own destruction, in this case because of radical islam. The issue isn't that globalists have problem with radical islam. It is just that radical islam is so repellent to those whose lives and societies are disrupted by it that it has created a revulsion against the globalist cause.
They had suicidally made a pact with a silent party who, it turns out, they cannot live with.
Do you wonder why governments work to destroy their own people? Are you amazed by the relentless march toward global insolvency? Can you not feel the anger of the nations? Can you really attribute all this to sheer incompetence?
