It is a spitting image of a "Black Mouth Cur", aka the official breed often referred to as a "Southern Mutt". Which makes me wonder, how does a Cur get that far south? Google the BMC's, they are amazing, very loyal, just like this young lady found out. Miss our's dearly....Here are some pic's of the breed...
I have one of those named Penny. She is as fast as the wind, can crack a bone effortlessly with her jaws and is the smartest, most loyal dog I have ever known. She was on the list to be euthanized the day I happened to stop by the shelter. When I took her home, it was an 8-hour drive to Georgia and she jumped in the back seat and leaned forward and rested her chin on my shoulder for most of the way. It was such an amazing bonding moment and she’s the love of my life.
