Looks more like a laser pointer used to point out a threat. The guy might just be secerity.

Also, the way he’s holding it is the way you hold an injector, base against palm, end between fingers. You hold a laser like a flashlight in a regular grip.
I’ve never heard of such a tactic. It’s been discussed, but it wouldn’t be used by someone on the floor, and it would be green.
But still, in my VIPSEC crowds such a tactic hasn’t even been put on the table.
And as far as a flashlight, I carry one too. Not in my hand in a well lit room.
