Your assessment is probably correct. In fact, as a physician, I found her use of the term “short circuited” to be most curious. A lay person would not come up with that characterization. More likely, she’s heard that from health care providers describing whatever central nervous system malady (or maladies) in lay person’s terms. In fact, seizures are truly “short circuits” of the brain.

Multiple Sclerosis is also a short circuit of the brain and/or spinal cord.
