Really depends on how the work study program functions. Currently, it's almost impossible to find a work study candidate who will actually WORK during the time they're supposed to. Most just want a paid position where they can sit in a quiet place, do their homework, and get paid for it. They act like it's a huge imposition for them to have to do something to earn the money they're paid.

In my day you worked! No credit or paycheck if you don’t work. But, I know what you mean. I am self employed and work by myself. My son supervises a bunch of young people and the stories he tells me about their work ethic is amazing. Most that don’t make it go home to live with Mom and Dad (this is one of the biggest problems).
