Government employees were some of the first to have their right to be armed taken away, in the progressive era. The bureaucrats did not need legislation to do it.

except school employees, Continuing to leave children defenseless in Gun Free Zones. I would much rather have mentally deranged citizens waste a fortress of bureaucracy since that is a probable source of their illness.
