I think all of us are sorting through the implications of what just happened.

I feel like I just woke up the day after the Dredd Scott decision.

For those who don’t remember that was the 1857 Supreme Court decision that declared that blacks were not citizens of the United States are were not protected under its laws.

Yesterday’s decision by the FBI Director basically declared that the law applies to some people but not others—i.e., that a select few are “citizens” and everyone else is not.

Dark days ahead for sure....
