I know Korchnoi was a famous Russian chess player but please explain what you mean instead of leaving it out there for others to try and figure out.
Korchnoi was a brilliant Russian player. He defected to the west. When he played for the championship against Russian Anatoly Karpov, the Russians arrested his wife and son on trumped up charges. Chess ability took a back seat to good old fashion muscle.
