I was a Cruz supporter all the way up to Iowa when I began to have doubts. I wasn’t over the top, but a lot of us on FR were Cruz supporters early on, and iirc, Trump’s run was not really a reality until he actually announced in June of last year....just one year ago.
So, to say anyone is an ‘over the top’ Cruz supporter really should be put in context.
Finally, I don’t mind if freepers were Cruz supporters until Cruz’s last gasping breath. A lot of them are my FRiends for years and years on Free Republic. FWIW, the entire Cruz eligibility/NBC debate was a year long on Free Republic before he even announced, and a huge number of freepers were Cruz supporters, including Jim Robinson.
And Resettozero, until Thanksgiving last year.
