One might wish to think about that statement. If it's not the same, it was a pretty bad loss. 7-1 to Germany at home in the last World Cup.
Looking at the box score; Mexico still defeated a highly regarded Uruguay team in the Copa.
Mexico also defeated the USA 4-2 in the 2011 Gold Cup and 5-0 actually at the 2009 Gold Cup. These sorts of games happen now and then.
While these are bad games, it's not the end of the world.
What will be interesting is how Chile follows through.
Way to completely miss my point. The Mexican players stopped trying (typical, when things go bad for that ilk) Brazil got beat, badly, but never stopped trying. As evidence by scoring when they were down seven with just minutes to play.
Oh, and any real fan knows that 5-0 loss to Mexico by the US was with what was basically a B Team for the US, as we also played in the Confed cup that summer.
Anything else I can educate you on?
I haven’t seen any media coverage of the Mexican fans showering the Chilean players with garbage after they scored their third goal.
They should go after Mexico like UEFA went after Croatia for their despicable fans.
Mexico beat #9 Uruguay in this tournament. The US hasn't done that. Spin it however you want, as well as 5-0 losses. Maybe we can rationalize Mexico's loss too.
Though the acts of some fans may be inexcusable; that is not uncommon in matches in Latin America.
For the record, I’m happy to educate anyone on the fact that 2 summers ago, Germany blistered Brazil 7-1. If one wants to talk about how Brazilian fans act, there is plenty. This is just discussion. I’m sorry if anyone takes it personally.
Are you liberal? You sure have trouble following a rational argument.
The Mexican players quit. Period that’s why they got killed. Teams can get beat badly but still give an effort. The Mexicans didn’t.’As that ilk is wont to be, they’re front runners. Great effort when things are goi g their way, but roll over and die when faced with some real adversity. I’ll refer you to their last hex game against Costa Rica in 2014 WCQ. Same exact thing. Luckily for them the US, who rarely if ever quits, bailed them out.
Can you comprehend?
And we all know there won’t be any coverage, for all the usual reasons.
I’ve had your short temper before and you are on ignore.
You can only come out with personal attacks, I like your point of view but this is not the first time, you hurl insults at someone; you can’t discuss things.
One doesn’t even remember 2 years ago when Brazil played Germany.
Forget you!
I win the debate, I’m not going to resort to personal attacks.
This is like debating a 5 year old.....
I’ll type slow so you can maybe follow. Obviously blow outs happen in any sport, most times because one team has a great day and one has a horrible day (Germa y vs Brazil), or one team is just much better than the other. But sometime, a good team with no fight in them rolls over and stops trying after they go down by 3 or 4 goals. They QUIT. That’s what Mexico did last night. And they should be ashamed.
Period. Someone like me, that’s actually played the game at a high level, understands this.
“I see Romania winning and taking 3rd place most likely by the end of the day”
Right again, soccer genius.
You know a lot on the game, SafeAsBanks means Safe As Gordon Banks; I don’t mean to argue with you. Sorry.
please unping me thanx
“SafeAsBanks means Safe As Gordon Banks”
Correct. Very good. He was my boyhood idol.
