To the Muslim community, these killers are great heroes who are celebrated. They are called "shahids" or martyrs who are promised great rewards in heaven. The ideal of devout Muslims is to kill, convert or tax all infidels. This has always been the way of Islam.
Pretending that Muslims are just normal everyday people, just like us -- this pretense is setting us up for more murder, more mayhem. The stupidity of Western leaders is making us defenseless.
