They’ll fight over soccer then present their posteriors to the Muslim invasion. Doctor Dhimmi and Mister Hyde.

And in the first game of the day, Switzerland’s Albanians beat Albania’s Albanians.

Messi? Is that you?

And yet, arguably, the greatest event in team sports happened in the English Premier League this year.

I just don’t understand why people who don’t like a sport go out of their way to mock it, insulting those that do.

Do you have ANY idea about what happened this year? People across the globe, including in USA, are all revelling in it.

“stupid offsides rule”?? It is there for a reason...and it’s not the quantity of scoring that makes a game. I don’t watch basketball for the complete opposite reason. Why should I get excited about a game where both teams score 50 times a game? Apparently it isn’t very hard, especially if you’re 7ft tall.

Have you never seen a great 1-0 hockey game?

Wrong. The average hockey score is about 1 goal higher per game than the average soccer score.

Sorry, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

I love hockey but disagree. Soccer looks slower because the field is huge. You should watch some English soccer. It is fast paced, tough and without the flopping - red cards for dives. Soccer players also run ~10,000m each game.

I still say the most exciting five minutes of sports I ever witnessed, was Manchester City (Aguerooooooooooooooo!) scoring in the last minute to snatch the title away from Manchester United.

That was a great game and end to the season. Craziest roller coaster 5 mins in any sport I’ve ever seen.

I think that the Brits have the advantage due to their long and distinguished tradition of sports hooliganism. The Russians have the handicap of not yet being recovered from those grim decades of rule by commie killjoys who disfavored robust populist lawbreaking. In sum, free societies are better at just about everything, including riots and affrays in sports venues.

Britain banned their hardcore hooligans from traveling to France. So the Russian gorillas in France had an advantage.

Russia will face a stiff penalty for the brawling INSIDE the stadium. Big no no there. Some talk they might even lose their World Cup if this continues.

I doubt that Europe will deny the Russians their wins due to misconduct. The Europeans have so long tolerated Russia’s large scale cheating in the Olympics and other sports that any abrupt change in policy would be seen as unfair.
