YMMV

Why is it that everyone who complains about low-scoring in soccer dont complain about hockey scores? Hockey is a faster game than soccer, plus you have more shots on net in hockey than you do in soccer. People would not complain about the scoring in soccer if there were more offensive chances.
When Greece had the Olympics 2008 and baseball was one of the events, I remember Greeks commenting on how boring baseball was. My cousins would ask me how is it possible that such a slow, boring sport could be America's pastime.

England dominant, but nothing to show for it.

I am no fan of these louts - from any country - who cause mayhem at football matches, but according to the Daily Mail, the England “fans” were ambushed by the Russian “fans” who attacked them with knives.

Hooliganism is especially bad in the Slavic countries.

Umm, because hockey is so much faster and exciting than soccer. Oh, and hockey has put an end (for the most part) of player taking dives that makes soccer unwatchable. IMHO.

Or, how about making the goal a bit bigger—say a foot (Church of England measurements, don’t know what it is in Roman Catholic) taller and a couple of feet wider.

Goal! England 1-0 Russia (Dier 73)
The breakthrough! England win another free-kick just outside the 18-yard box in an area just to the right of centre. Kane stands over it, Dier behind him. The Tottenham striker runs past the ball and leaves it for his club team-mate, who takes a casual step up to the ball before sweeping it into the top-left corner. Not bad.
Dier scores vs Russia to make it 1-0 to England

What’s the matter? Couldn’t you make the team? Soccer is a great sport when you know the game. Obviously you never saw Pele play, or the greats in the ‘98 French team. Great match between France and Romania yesterday! France victorious with one of the prettiest goals I’ve ever seen! Masterful!!!

LoL!
Goal! England 1-1 Russia (Berezutski 90)
Well, that is a blow to the guts for Hodgson’s side. Schennikov floats a ball towards the back post, where the captain Berezutski is lurking behind Rose. He leaps above the England full-back and scruffliy heads the ball up and over Hart into the far corner. Well, what a finish. A cruel one for England.
Glushakov goal vs. England
Soccer scores are almost 0-0 or 1-0 after 3 or 4 overtimes. The game is over when one of the goalies gets so incredibly bored that they let a ball through just to get it over with.

I wonder who cheered that goal more, the Russians or the Welsh.
Can’t wait for Wales-England.
