Pboyington and the USDefenseWatch article are absolutely correct, Rabin. All warfare requires three things: training young men to kill other people and to not get killed themselves in the process, putting those young men into a cohesive and responsive organization for combat, and then getting them to the right time and place to effectively engage the enemy.

Short of daily injections of testosterone, women lack the hunter/killer drive that most men have that we use to hone them into proficient killers. (and as a side note, once they are developed into effective and willing killers, getting them to stop when they're told to.) Very, very few women are capable brutes.

Unit cohesion will be shredded with women within a unit. Sex will happen. Some of those of you on that isolated hilltop will be getting lucky while most of the others won't and they'll be resentful. How much mission focus do you see happening here? How likely will it be to see PFC A going to the rescue of PFC B when they are both in earnest competition for the lady PFC C? How confident will you feel in your Listening Posts at night when they include one female and one male?

If you are an unattached and unlucky male and you are assigned the point or any other dangerous mission, were you picked because you were the one they figured could be lost without anyone caring? Anybody remember that in this hotbed of sexual competition that everyone's armed?

Females (and openly-serving gays) have no place at all in combat. Combat is too difficult, too stressful, too isolated to introduce sexual dynamics and major physical differences.

I can only hope and pray that our military leaders will restore sanity after Obama and after trash like our current Service Secretaries are gone.
