how about we subtract welfare payments?
I know there are “more whites on welfare than blacks” but blacks are only 12% of the population and they get 40% of the welfare
I don’t know if the assertion that more whites on welfare than others is really accurate. The gov. likes to conflate and obfuscate so as not to appear biased. Often all non-blacks would be grouped together to make whites appear to be larger than they are. Then anyone receiving any kind of help could be considered equal to another receiving 10 times as much aid. And what might be true in Kentucky is quite different in New York, California and Texas. Anytime (only a few - and I’ve never taken any) I’ve been to a government office where people receive aid I usually see about one white face to a 100 but I’m in Texas.
