I got that strong impression as well, but I don’t have enough information about the author to assert it forthrightly. It seems that he can’t distinguish between Persians and Arabs, and doesn’t know that we’re not actually at war with Iran, however frosty the relationship may be.

When and if Israel is in a military situation that they are in danger of destruction and defeat they will use the “Samson Option” which to defeat all enemies with nuclear weapons and this includes Russia. Israel can not destroy Russia but they can make it a non functioning nation and society. Israel would be a smoldering ruin and and any nation in the Mid East that opposes Israel would also be a no longer a nation as would also be Russia.

Even more embarrassing is that a disclaimer has now been added to the original article, as to prevent further confusion.

However, given the habits of a large portion of the public to only read the title or first few sentences of an article, it is likely that this misinformation will still be spread as “fact” for the near foreseeable future.
