But the economy is doing great! /Obama and other leftscum
This is Trump’s fault! /the LSM (not kidding: they’ll spin this as fear of Trump being the nominee)
Women and minorities hit hardest? /need I?
Some of the more “desirable” examples of these UP engines have actually been dropped off at railroad museums for storage. The two I know of that have been so stored have had the fuel, engine oil, and cooling water drained and the batteries removed, so they’re not expecting to need them back for service any time soon.
“””It boggles the mind, and yet there are people out there that would actually have you believe that everything is just fine.””””
We have had full blown propaganda from the news media since hussein was elected. At some point the mask comes off and people will find out the truth.
“..We continue to get more evidence that the U.S. economy has entered a major downturn.”
We have been getting “evidence” of this ever since Obama became the WH resident. No news here — right on the plan of the radical, America-hating left. A healthy American economy is a fool’s story....been that way for some time.
Here is a short video I took a few months back near Gillette, WY. Lots of coal trains idled along with crude oil transport.

Who are you going to believe? An Outfit controlled Chicago thief and his lying scum media, or your own common sense?
Even a year ago the railroads were scrambling for hardware; not so much anymore.
At least they haven’t been dumped in the ocean to make artificial reefs -yet.
I guess Obama will blame UP for buying to many climate-changing trains and they need to be punished for that. But at least those who are laid off will now have plenty of time to do the things they really wanted to do./s
Some of that (certainly not all) is the drop in fuel prices and a move of some freight to less efficient but more flexible on-highway trucks.
Question: Could this precipitous drop in the velocity of money be an effect of the sheer number of dollars printed into existence be the Fed?
100’s of BNSF locos are idled in a yard just east of Gillette, WY.
RE: Could this precipitous drop in the velocity of money be an effect of the sheer number of dollars printed into existence be the Fed?
Absolutely. Money is not circulating in the economy as expected by the Fed ( in other words, it’s still not easy to get a loan ). That’s the reason why despite these QE’s, we are not seeing any inflationary effects (yet).
Surprisingly, I don’t see more truck traffic on I-90 either.
It’s very strange....maybe more in other places. But not much around here.
That can’t be happening. A couple of weeks ago, I heard on a newscast that the economy was booming.
Baraq’s war on coal apparently working?
