I respectfully disagree. Who commits suicide in an elevator? He was home, so if he was going to commit suicide, why would he go into the elevator? He would have just as much peace and quiet (and be more comfortable) in his bedroom or some other area of the house. Also, I don't believe the AIDS story. He remained in the public eye, and continued to perform up until the end. If he were in the final stages of AIDS, it would have been obvious to anyone who saw him that he was seriously ill. I'm thinking his death is drug related.
(By the way, I'm not a Prince fan who is trying to make excuses for him...just an outsider trying to look at this situation logically.)
“Wait a few days before you waste any prayers”.. He either committed suicide or died of untreated AIDS. His quote reveals he knew he was going to die.
