Do it, Bernie, you owe it to the future.
Bernie Sanders is being beaten. He’s losing in both the delegate count and the vote, but it’s not his fault. He’s “running as a Democrat” and he’s being treated horribly by the Democrat party. At every turn, the DNC has done its best to game the system and rig the election against the poor old socialist coot who has dared challenge the coronation of Hillary Clinton.
....And it hasn’t gone unnoticed. At least one man has Bernie’s back. He’s calling out the DNC’s behavior, and urging Bernie to make a strong, principled, run as the independent that he is. That man’s name is Donald Trump.
Sly move on Trump’s part.
But here’s a nightmare scenario … Let’s say the GOPe manages to weasel their own choice in at the convention. Trump gets pissed and joins Bernie on the Independent ticket. I don’t like the sound of that at all.
Hopefully, the Bernbots will want this and demand that Sanders keep fighting Cankles.
This is turnabout for what the ‘Rats did with TR. They played on his massive ego and sense of entitlement to goad him into a 3rd party run that delivered the election to the weak ‘Rat candidate, Woodrow Wilson. Let’s see if Bernie will take the bait.

Not bad, Bernie would be great in the position of Secretary for the Social Security Trust Fund Lockbox.
Probably the most intelligent thing he has said this entire election cycle and the only way he can win in November.

They are locked out. They have no place to go but a third party. They hate Cruz— They hate Trump. The people will not tolerate tricks in Cleveland!! You will have civil disobedience and chaos. Trump has 3 million more votes than even Cruz. But if Trump falters they know they can’t just airdrop Jeb Bush back in. Kasick is finished after he stuffed his face with Pizza on TV!!!I am still thinking that there is a 30% chance the Libertarians may nominate Trump on their ticket to run parallel to the Republican nomination. IMO ,There is active movement on that as we speak. Trump is right in line with many Libertarian positions. So, even if the GOPe steal it from Trump he will whip them as a Libertarian!!
But I am saying that the Karl Rove element will go to a third party because the people have pushed them out of theirs. As Trump would say “ GET’ EM OUTTA HERE!! Don’t hurt then — just GET’EM OUT OF HERE!!”

I’d be fine with that so long as ole’ senile was Trump’s VP. He won’t live through a single term, let alone 2.
The fun thing is that a lot of GOPe PACs have stopped writing checks. Their doomsday has already come, they can’t keep the money coming in. The deadenders in the GOPe will have to fight Trump with no money.
Just make sure to light up all the comment boards you go to with that message: “Bernie needs to run third party!”
A Trump/Bern ticket would be killer to the two Parties...
My view is that this GOP Primary is following the template that many movies follow: The Hero’s Journey. In the Hero’s Journey, the protagonist (Trump) must move from his old world (billionaire luxury life) into the new world (politics).
The entire journey must present a succession of obstacles (#NeverTrump, GOPe, billionaire PAC’s) for the hero to overcome. There must be antagonistic forces (GOPe) to keep the audience’s attention (he’s losing...no he’s winning) over a long time period.
Finally, the hero (Trump) will find the elixir (winning voter issues), assemble a team and storm the castle (Beltway bandits, RINO’s and Democrats).
Makes perfect sense to me! Hell, Comrade Bernie isn’t even a registered Democrat!
Yeah. He tells Sanders to play Perot to Hillary's Bush.
He runs off with the election in a plurality, a la Clinton in '92.
