Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert will learn his fate Wednesday as he is sentenced for breaking federal banking rules in a hush-money scheme attempting to cover up decades of sexual abuse.
Hastert faces up to five years behind bars for the banking charges, which is just one part of the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct against him.
10:16 a.m. "I hope I've been your worst nightmare," Burdge said. "What you did wasn't misconduct. It was sexual abuse of a minor."

7:10 a.m. Hastert arrives to Chicago's Dirksen Federal Courthouse ahead of his scheduled 10 a.m. sentencing hearing. He was seen getting out of a large SUV before being wheeled into the building.

We have surely had bad Speakers, even after Republicans took nominal majorities in the House.
Not saying Hastert was a good guy or anything, but he will be in jail while Hillary walks free. Justice in this country? Not for the powerful.

I remember how Bob Novak, a really shrewd reporter, was to first to predict that the House would demand Denny as the Speker after Newton stepped down. Novak said the members really liked Hastert.
Would he be in this pickle if he just withdrew the hush money in a lump sum, instead of non-reportable increments?
I wonder how many other child predators are roaming the halls of Congress pretending to be something they aren’t while raking in tons of money.
Makes me sick knowing his kind breathes the same air I do.

I am so sorry that our politicians turn out to be jsut as creepy as the Dems. Hastert needs to go away for a long time. Some children can recover form sexual abuse, but most don’t. And the majority of the LGBT crowd, statistically, were molested young. Bye-bye, Denny, you are a scourge on the Republican brand.
Now we know why the Democrats were so eager to push Newt out and replace him with Hastert.
Hastert was compromised the whole time with this information of him doing things, only legal, in a Target bathroom.

WLS just announced that Dennis Hastert has been sentenced to 2 years of supervised release and no contact with those he had molested. No jail time. S$%&*

Judge Thomas M. Durkin also ordered Hastert to undergo sex-offender treatment, spend two years on supervised release after 15 months behind bars and pay a $250,000 fine to a crime victims’ fund.
He doesn’t look like he’s going to last that long.
