No, someone is mathematically eliminated when they can no longer get 1237 delegates.

Keep on believing in your ignorant fanboy delusions, however. Don't let anything like reality stop you from dreaming.

Ted Cruz has lost. He will have been mathematically eliminated after the next Tuesday or two. His only hope was to get the nomination at a contested GOP convention, which would irreparably splinter the party, and guarantee a GOP defeat in November.

Simply put, that's not going to happen. Not even the crooked GOPe is that stupid.

Vote Trump

In 35 states, a write-in presidential candidate must file some paperwork in advance of an election. In seven states, write-in voting for presidential candidates is not permitted. The remaining states do not require presidential write-in candidates to file special paperwork before the election.

>> I think that reality is beginning to dawn.

The Trump camp is slooooow, but eventually they figure it out.

And when they finally wake up, boy are they mad!

>> it may be mathematically impossible for Cruz to get to 1237 delegates

Not “may be”... IS. (Practically speaking).

Just as it his highly unlikely for Trump to take a majority of delegates into the convention and win on first ballot.

It WILL come down to what happens in subsequent ballots at the convention.

The smart campaign knows this and plans and executes accordingly.

Green papers shows 775 available "hard" (bound by law) delegates, and 64 uncommitted.

Green Papers shows 795 available "soft" (bound by law plus uncommitted) delegates, and 28 uncommitted.

-- Trump can be on the ballot in every state if the voters put him there -- by writing his name down, and then putting the X after it. --

Presidential elections are the ONLY ones where the voter is not actually voting for the candidate. People can do as you suggest, but all those write-in votes are wasted.

Article is pure trolling, and frankly, only makes Cruz’s impending loss all the more sweet.

Only Texas has a “hard” sore loser law, and it can be changed by the Legislature any time up until November 7, 2016.

I'm not in favor of changing already-established rules to favor Cruz nor to favor Trump. Both candidates need to live with the existing rules.

Out of one side of their face, Trump supporters mock Cruz for not having the support of any of the members of the Senate and out of the other side of their face they claim that Cruz is teh establishment choice.

Out of one side of his face cruise pretends to be a conservative, but the face that votes is GLOBALIST.

That’s not how it works.

What kind of Court did we get from Republican presidents? John Roberts voted with Kagan and Ginzburg on the really important matters.

Not on the really important matters that mattered to me, namely Heller and McDonald.

If Scalia gets replaced by Shrillary, you can kiss goodbye the Second Amendment.

Not enough lipstick around to make this pig fly - Cruz is unable to win and must try to play games (while alienating much of his original base and endangering the whole election) in order to have a snowball’s chance and some try to portray Trump as the one with his back on the ropes - delusional and perhaps even a bit psychotic....but hope springs eternal - Hillary is laughing much easier these days.
