link to the Verso stuff please? The Escanaba paper mill does more then what you may expect, however Ive not heard of this.
Word has it, IF they can get out from under the union, they may be able to hold onto it. But if they cant, they may dump not be able to.
The other is..the Quinessec mill is losing money...BAD. they have a huge problems there. Yet the pulp mill there makes the cleanest and whitest pulp on the market. So they might close down the paper machines.
And the Wisconsin Rapids mill has two and a half years to get back into the black or else.
You really havent heard about the chapter 11 filing?

Also, it may end up the courst deciding the issue since Verso assumed NewPage. They might require Verson to eliminate those holdings since they were not able to perform. It gets complicated.
To make a long story short. Verso bit off more than it can chew and now they will have to prove they can survive-which I have doubts they will be able to do. The publishing paper industry is just about DONE. Why? Because they can get whatever paper they need from Chile and Brazil.
Another issue about “FREE” trade by Trump.
When you have company foresters comming out on jobs and telling producers, “whatever you do, dont buy any stumpage or new machinery,” you know something is about to really go bad.
