I was one of the head sawyers at the BIG mill that CCI used to have at Munising. Spent 8 and a half years there till they dumped that place. And it NEVER lost them money, they just did not want it. Go figure.
And like all boys from up there. Ya just cant get away from the gull dam woods.
And THATS the issue. They can’t see past the nearest tree branch.
It’s happening to EMP, to the mill, to those up here as a whole. Lived through it in northern Wisconsin (way above Green Bay) and its likely to happen here.
We need to take advantage of the bay we have, in PRODUCTION, it didn’t help when we “sold”/shut down our power plant……. Never understood the decision, outside of the desire for the city to get ahold of the 16 million dollars that couldn’t be touched unless the plant got sold.
