Politization of any govt body ultimately,rots it and kills it.
So much govt needs to be done away with.
It will fall to regular citizens to deal with it. Otherwise the sfate will destroy everyone eventually.

I’m not sure this part of the author’s argument is correct. Wasn’t it guys like Crieghton Abrams and a bunch of other generals that rebuilt the Army under Reagan?
The author doesn’t sound like a person who has ever served, although apparently he has. His premise seems a little immature and reactionary, like a complaining pain in the ass. Too bad he got out, huh? He could have stayed and made a difference. No?
There’s a still a million personnel in the military that need leadership. What good will it do them to self-destruct a few months from the election?
