As I understand it, Colorado does not have a Republican primary. So there was no “winner” for the state. (So no delegates “to steal”. The nominee is chosen during the state convention. Probably similar to what a contested national convention would look like. With supporters of the various candidates debating, arguing, and persuading the delegates to pledge their support for a certain candidate.
I believe that is a little more similar to the way the nominees were chosen in the early days of our nation. State primaries only came about in the early 1900’s.
My state (Washington State) has both a Republican caucus, a Convention, AND a primary. I was at our district caucus and more than 95% of the delegates elected said they would vote for Cruz if they had the chance. However, if Trump is voted the winner in the primary, then the delegates have to vote for him on the first ballot. But if there is a second ballot, they can vote for whoever they want to.
That’s correct I think
Colors is delegates are chosen by party establishment which means Trump will be shut out
Party establishment fill delegate slates largely in all states and usually in the GOP they are bound first ballot
After that they will vote where the party tells them to or they are bribed to
CRUZ IS NOT DOING SHIT MUCH ACTUALLY
THIS IS JUST YET ANOTHER NARRATIVE PIMPED BY BOTH THE LEFT WING MEDIA AND NEVER TRUMP ORGS AND GOP AND THEIR BITCHES ON THE FORUM
ESTABLISH A NEW NARRATIVE ABOUT CRUZ VAUNTED GROUND GAME AND HOW HE DESERVES IT EVEN IF HE DID GET 40-50% LESS VOTES THAN TRUMP WHEN ITS ALL SAID AND DONE
I SMELL THAT SEA ISLAND MEET ALL OVER THIS STRATEGY FROM WISCONSIN ONWARDS
ITS A TACTIC TO SET A JUSTIFICATION TO STEAL IT FROM TRUMP IF HE FALLS SHORT BY WHATEVER AMOUNT
IN A REGULAR YEAR A SANTORUM OR NEWT OR HUCKABEE WOULD HAVE LEFT EVEN IF THE LEADER WERE NOT YET AT 1237
Isn’t it great how they fight to keep their power and nothing else
I will not support them
And nor will many others
