Basically, Florida law says that if you reach out with intent (not incidental, like a bumping in a crowd situation) and touch another person that does not want to be touched, that's simple battery.
Corey clearly reached out and touched her, and she decided that she didn't want to be touched.
Under the strictest interpretation of the law (as it is written), his action falls under 'simple battery'.
There are allowable defenses, including "protecting others", which is probably what will be used.
To 99.8% of us, this "incident" would be no big deal if it happened to us in our daily life, but when you combine a "drama queen" and a politically motivated DA, you could hold Corey's action to simple battery if you decide to press the issue.
It never should have been pressed.
Fields Statement:
"Campaign managers arent supposed to try to forcefully throw reporters to the ground, no matter the circumstance. But what made this especially jarring is that there was no hint Trump was done taking questions. No one was pushing him to get away. He seemed to have been happily answering queries from my fellow reporters just a moment before."
Terris, the reporter who is 'backing her up' said this:
"As security parted the masses to give him passage out of the chandelier-lit ballroom, Michelle Fields, a young reporter for Trump-friendly Breitbart News, pressed forward to ask the GOP front-runner a question. I watched as a man with short-cropped hair and a suit grabbed her arm and yanked her out of the way. He was Corey Lewandowski, Trumps 41-year-old campaign manager."

ROFL...Do you even read your OWN posts?????????????
I have looked at battery complaints in Florida. You see HANDS, FISTS....PLURAL not singular. You don’t see teeth in the category. I think this had to be an additional category.
That said, the office could have just made a mistake in selecting from the menus. I still haven’t see the notes on the report.
Jim Hoft is lying again.
She did not say that.
But the facts are he reached in front of a secret service agent to grab Fields and by doing so screwed himself out of using that defense.
No she didn’t. This repeated meme only discredits those who are reporting on the incident. The listing of teeth, fists, etc is a category of violations in the loocal code. It is not specifically what she charged.
lol its politics
Whats stupid is giving your opponent an opening like this. Shows just what a pathetic leader Trump is.
“Thats (sic) a form. Probably auto filled by a computer and her only option.
Man you’re desperate.”

Corey Lewandowski's Florida Lawyer Lost His Job for Allegedly Biting a Stripper
Mediaite - 1 day ago
One of the Florida lawyers representing Donald Trump campaign manager Corey ... But Mr. Coffey has a bit of colorful history himself, allegedly biting a stripper in 1996.
It's OK....it all happened at the Moose Lodge.
a grammar nazi too.
how pathetic
just like this story
Watching Stuart Varney put Meghan McCain in her place on this. McCain brat asks Varney, "Don't you believe her? Well don't you?"
His answer was "Her bruises are down here (holding out his arm and pointing to his wrist area) and she was touched up here (pointing to her upper arm).
Shut up the McCain brat nicely!
You got that right.
Repo says Hands, Feet, Teeth, Fists
Jim Hoft cannot be discredited though. His credibility is already at zero. Every single thing he writes is either stupid or a lie.
A little insecure, aren’t we?
Sucks to be on the losing side of an argument, doesn’t it?
Not having the maturity or intelligence to admit when you’re wrong only makes it worse.
I pity you.
She needs to be arrested and charged for filing a false report. But she won’t be.
This is another issue I have with the legal system. Filing a false report should be charged more often AND the punishment should match that of what you’re accusing the other person of. For example, she should face the same punishment for a battery charge. If she claimed rape then she should face the same punishment as the person would face for the rape. This will help prevent false reports.
Aww, so desperate.... its kinda cute in a sad way.
Weapons Used: Hands, Feet, Fist, Teeth
Where in the law does it say that he has to stand down if he sees what he perceives as a threat, just because a Secret Service agent is there?
