Wrong He does it when he looks like he might lose.. WI is coming up and Polls were showing him behind. Now he needs WI to win nomination.. So what does he do he starts that silly fight about his wife.. He knew that GQ was re-releasing her photo’s. So he used that as an excuse to attack Ted Cruz then he used his buddy at National Enquirer to release not a Headline Story but rumors about Ted.. What I don’t understand is why the Mag used Trumps campaign communication directer Katrina Pierson whom came out right away and said this is a bogus story and didn’t happen!!!

You are not thinking it through clearly because you aren’t recognizing the GOPe problem is larger than the so called “democrat problem” within the Uniparty.

The GOPe cannot have Trump. He is the outsider. Not Cruz. Cruz now has shown his colors as the ultimate GOPe insider.

Teddy started this crap with the Melania stuff; thanks to his chosen, well known DIRTY TRICKSTER. Cruz is vile and approves of this filth, though he denies it with a smamry Uriah Heepish smile.

Wisconsin is a sort of caucus and Trump doesn't do well in such easily FRAUD producing states. I believe that he already had kissed Wi. good bye. So your puerile, irrational, political naif supposition is worthless and stupid to boot.

WI is too far off. Trump didn’t do it. This is a GOPe Globalist move now that Cruz looks like he can’t win from here on in.

You’re wrong, because this doesn’t necessarily gain Trump any votes, and it may cost him some votes.

People that think he did do this are not happy about it.

This whole thing makes our primary look like a circus, and it takes away from all of our candidates.

This isn’t about anyone winning any particular state’s primary, this is about neither Trump or Cruz arriving at 1237, and the GOPE picking the nominee.

I don't buy your premise that Trump was involved. The National Enquirer is in the business of digging up these types of stories. Campaign season is boom time for the tabloids. They have done this since the Gary Hart days. So it's a stretch to say Trump needed to get involved to make this happen. Other outlets had similar stories and chose not to publish them.

But let's say hypothetically that Donald Trump was involved. Maybe he was tipped off about the Melania pictures being bought by the Cruz campaign. Maybe he just heard the rumors and made a call to a friend at the NE to see if they were true. Maybe Trump heard the rumors back in November and called the NE to let them know and maybe the NE was waiting for the exact opportune moment to do the most damage to Ted Cruz.

So what? Who cares?

That's politics. That's what they all do. It happens every big campaign season. People find crap, throw it, and see if it sticks. Campaigning is about cleaning up this stuff and getting back on track. Does anybody think for one minute if Cruz gets the nomination that the Democrats wouldn't have thrown this and then it would be in the WaPo or NYT, giving the story instant credibility. In the Primary the candidate has a chance to recover and then in the general he can say: "This has already been addressed and the voters have spoken".

The real question is why wasn't the Cruz campaign ready for this? Especially if Trump is the big sleaze that the Cruz supporters say he is. How could they be caught so unaware? How could they let their guy go out and say something about copulating with rats? Who cares about the rat part, the Cruz story had to do with copulating why use the word ever or even a synonym?

The funny part about all of this is that Trump said he would spill the beans on Heidi and we've forgotten that Trump ever tweeted that.
