Split decision
Youd have to call Tuesday a win for Donald Trump, not because he won everything but because Ted Cruz has gotten to the point where he needs to start winning everything. And while Cruz ran very strong in Utahs caucuses - most likely topping 50 percent and taking all 40 of the delegates there - he came up empty in Arizona, whose 58 delegates went to Trump and widened his lead:
Trump helped himself in Arizona with a hardline anti-immigration message and tough talk on Islamic militants to easily defeat Cruz, a U.S. senator from Texas, and Ohio Governor John Kasich.
Trump had the backing in Arizona of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, one of the most prominent supporters of a crackdown on illegal immigrants.

I have a feeling Cruz and Trump are gonna split the rest of the delegates and this is gonna go to the convention.

A caucus State that even the Washington Post is questioning the tactics in the voting.

Seems Canadians are interested in how one of their own is doing.

Utah is probably the last state Cruz will win.

Winning Utah decisively by anchoring his boat to Romney, in my opinion, damages Cruz's appeal significantly in the other states. Yes, he won big in Utah, well done. But now he looks like the establishment candidate. The credibility of the fight he put up in the Senate up to this point is called into question. I think this is a very short sighted victory. I like Cruz, but Cruz lost more than Trump gained last night as we gauge future voting.

If you have been here regularly since ‘98, you’ve seen them paying attention to American Politics before. They have been at it quite a while, now.

As has been happening through this contest, Trump today won the vote in which people voted freely.
As has been happening through this contest, Cruz today won the vote which was a caucus.
There have been exceptions (Texas for example) but basically Trump has won most of the free contests.
Cruz has been doing well in the more protected caucuses.

Specifically from VD's analysis: "...to mathematically close out the nomination, he'll need,...Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, Indiana, and one smaller state...Trump will hit the required 1,237 delegates." Unless Cruz can win one of those 4 states, Trump will hit 1,237.

He won in a socially conservative flyover country state. Maybe it wasn't the GOPe so much as 'New York Values'* that made the difference.
*in some places, thst's a negative.

And all Ted had to do was pal around with stabby the clown pretending he was the messiah of the Mormon cult to do it.
Shameless.

Utah, who gives a shi!. That was about a rotten display of a voting system I'm ever heard of. Wonder how much Mormon influence was in that?
