Even if that is truthful in the eyes of the law, don’t you see the OPTICS LOOK BAD?
It’s a gift to the democrats, something they can ridicule Cruz and the republicans about until the election. Every late show, every night. People who don’t know anything about politics will know that Cruz was born in Canada, and everyone will laugh at the right’s hypocrisy for making a big deal about Obama’s eligibility. Too easy. No wonder we haven’t been winning, too many among us are hopelessly bad at reading the electorate.
If you’re worried about optics, the years of on camera/tape Trump quotes about women, sexual exploits, and general douchebaggery will provide days of attack ads the likes of which we’ve never seen. The evangelicals who see/hear this will turn off Trump in droves.
