I agree, politics have been seriously degraded with the reality show mentality. The way you have been treated on this thread is a good example of the new violence as a first resort style of discussion.

The problem Ted has is reason is no longer fashionable or ever possible with a large segment of the population. In order to understand what Ted said, one would have to comtemplate the meaning of his words, so much easier to get outraged.
But what Trump is riding to the polls is a horse named Rage.

He has not started a fire or attacked anyone racially, ever. He has said nothing abusive. The only thing he has done is speak the truth as many of us see it.
He dared say something they didn’t want to hear, that’s it.
So they riot and you blame him. Shameful.
