  I think he's saying that Donald Trump = George Wallace in that Wallace was against busing to achieve racial balance in the same way that Trump is against the invasion of the US by Mexico. The comparison doesn't really work for me. I don't get it.

Like many liberals, I come from the point of view that the line between being an American and an immigrant is non-existent. They are one in the same.

"One in the same"? I assume Hefner's kid means "one and the same".

As for the first sentence, no one cares how many liberals "come from the point of view that the line between being an American and an immigrant is non-existent". As a matter of law, the line between being a US citizen and an illegal alien is quite clear.

Hefner's son claims to know Trump personally, and I can't claim that. All I can go by are Trump's public statements - and those proclaim that he will finally build and man a wall along the southern border, and he will halt illegal immigration. I take Trump at his word and will vote for him on that basis. Even if Hefner's assessment of Trump's character is true, I do not believe Trump would ever be foolhardy enough to try to renege on the central plank of his platform. If elected, Trump will have to build a wall, and that will be the most worthwhile thing any American president has done in decades.
