Donald Is A Family Friend And He’s Full Of S***

Here’s the hard truth — it’s time our generation collectively pulls our heads out of our asses and pays attention to something other than Internet memes, reality television, and cell phone selfies. We need to talk about politics and we need to do it now.

If you are a liberal and the United States presidential race on the Republican side hasn’t scared you thus far, then either you haven’t been paying attention or you don’t understand the significance of what is currently happening.

As of now, it’s clear that Donald Trump is going to get the Republican Party’s nomination. Although that notion is not entirely surprising, it shocks me to see how few young Americans want to actively engage, talk about, and understand American politics as this particular situation unravels. I’m talking about Millennials chanting for Bernie Sanders, when many don’t understand most of his policies or what it means to identify as a self proclaimed “socialist.” I’m talking about the tens of thousands of young Americans who are fighting to change a system like big banking and Wall Street when they don’t want to take the time to educate themselves on why or how it’s broken. I’m talking about the fact that we, as Millennials, more than any other generation before, have the immediate means to educate ourselves on any topic in the world because of the Internet, yet we frequently get lost in insignificant information that’s trending.

When I say that I’m shocked by the lack of engagement by Millennials, the situation I’m referring to is the rise of Donald Trump. Trust me, you should care about this more than taking a moment to like a politician’s Facebook page.

Let’s collectively recognize for a moment that Trump has received more widespread support while running on one of the most politically conservative platforms since George Wallace ran as an American Independent in 1968 against Richard Nixon and Hubert Humphrey. If you don’t know who George Wallace is, he is the former Governor of Alabama that famously went against the President and the United States Supreme Court in an attempt to keep schools segregated. The intense political standoff became so hostile that Governor Wallace ordered state troopers to prevent black students from entering schools throughout his state. President Kennedy federalized the National Guard and ordered the soldiers protect black students as they entered the school. This situation became one of the most controversial state versus federal stand offs in United States history.

Long story short, Wallace ran for president as an Independent and garnered a whopping 13.5 percent of the national vote, clearly indicating that a strain of racist American ideology still existed in much of the country at the time, and has continued as is indicated by Trump’s popularity.

Why has Trump resurrected this dark American ideology? The first reason: Millennials continue to neglect the importance of actively participating in politics at every level. Although one could make a compelling argument that Trump would have still received the endorsement from the Republican Party, I argue that if more individuals actively spoke out against the candidate he would have never garnered so much support. The second reason: the Republican race indicates that the same racist strain that got George Wallace his 13 percent is still very much alive and is manifesting in Trump’s popularity.

I understand that Donald Trump has qualities that appeal to a number of voters. Trump is loud. He speaks his opinion and doesn’t apologize for it. These are desirable characteristics when the U.S. political system seems to continually favor what much of the public perceives to be inauthentic, but it’s important to recognize that Trump is the least authentic candidate of all the candidates that have held the stage in this election season.

First and foremost, Trump doesn’t care about the office of the President. He doesn’t care about the American public. He doesn’t care about anything other than Trump. Many already know this, but it’s important to point out that Trump loves Trump over all else. He loves what the presidential race can do for his brand. It’s as simple as that. I know this because Trump is a family friend, but regardless of his home visits, one can understand this after three minutes of watching him.

First and foremost, Trump doesn’t care about the office of the Presidency. He doesn’t care about the American public. He doesn’t care about anything other than Trump.

This is a man who is a complete contradiction of himself. Trump happily graced the cover of Playboy, one of the most liberal print publications in American history. He has previously voiced his support for abortion, advocating for a women’s right to choose; he has openly endorsed Democratic candidates and would have no doubt continued to do so, up until the point that he realized it wasn’t in the best interest of the Trump brand, and I’m not talking about the financial or real estate brand.

What I’m referring to is Trump’s brand from a legacy point of view. It’s important to understand that a man like Trump is the type of personality that cares much less about how he is remembered. What Trump cares about is that he is remembered. When recognizing this, it’s easy to understand the dangers of having a personality solely driven to be memorable rather than leaving a positive legacy. This is the last type of personality one would ever want to elect to any level of politics. This is the type of personality not far from those in government with dictatorial desires.

There is no doubt that I am as critical of my generation as I am of myself. This isn’t because I have no faith in Millennials, on the contrary I have an immense amount. I believe in our ability to stand together and unite behind causes that matter. I recognize our ability to raise the bar higher than generations past, but I also recognize our collective faults. We are fickle, sometimes too politically correct, and get lost in entertainment and distractions that aren’t important to our collective well-being.

This political race, and the support the Trump campaign has received thus far, demonstrates what happens when we as a generation are reluctant to get involved in a political outcome that will no doubt affect our lives, the lives of people we care about and the lives of people like us.

Trump is running on a platform that will create an immeasurable cultural divide between Americans and immigrants. Like many liberals, I come from the point of view that the line between being an American and an immigrant is non-existent. They are one in the same.

Trump is an individual who has openly advocated banning and deporting Muslim Americans and legal immigrants, taking a massive step backwards towards the political and social philosophies inherited from eras of slavery and gender inequality, like the Japanese-American prison camps of World War II, women not having the right to vote, and segregation between blacks and whites. It seems that is Trump’s idea of making America great again.

Should our generation not begin to make more substantial and public moves towards supporting diversity? Should we not make more of a point to have our voices heard? I’m not talking about retweeting Bernie Sanders or liking a Hillary Clinton page on Facebook, I’m talking about taking the time to understand the implications of what the other side, the Republicans, are supporting when they appoint Trump as their poster boy. I’m talking about participating in a political system that invites all, a system everyone seems to have an opinion about, but very few young Americans choose to participate in. I’m talking about stepping out from behind our computers and learning how to positively influence our political system.

Truth be told, I don’t believe a lot of Republicans even understand what they are rooting for in a candidate like Trump, making it even more important for our generation to promote diversity and display a united front against dated conservative ideology. We need to make it clear that going backwards is not in the cards for American Millennials. We are only interested in moving forward.

I don’t recall Trump ever saying he would deport current American citizen Muslims, nor did he ever say he would deport other LEGAL immigrants. Either I’ve missed something or Hefner is letting his TDS get the better of him.

Isn’t voting for Trump supporting diversity? I mean, is there anyone else like him?

>>>trump is about enriching trump incorporated. He sees the presidency as a vehicle to do so. he learned alot fron the Clintons<<<

Interesting theory you have there.

A 69 Year Old Man who has more money than God (pardon the pun) and he is spending a lot of that money running for a Political Office that he has no guarantee of securing.

He is going through all this trouble with the intent of increasing his already astronomical Wealth. All the while he is known for actually being very thrifty with his money.

Additionally he learned this from the Clintons. Let me guess, he bought that Clinton University Study Material and he will be Suing them if he loses the Election since the materials provided did not guarantee success.

Yep, got it. I’m glad I’ve just moved on to worrying about the General Election, knowing that all the grinding of teeth here will have no impact on who the ultimate Republican Nominee will be.

Whoever it is gets my Vote since the alternative DemoncRat Nominee will be a nightmare.

Carry on. I’ll keep on enjoying the show here.

"The problem with all these liberals and establishment cronies telling us how bad Trump is is that they are the alternative, and they have been in charge for years, and they are WORSE than whatever they call Trump"

You know this how?

You might want to reflect on the old saying "Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't..."

My hopes still lie with Ted Cruz. I feel intellectually, ethically, and morally he's far beyond the Trumpster. Cruz is also more than willing to take on Washington corruption.

Let’s not forget all the OTHER things Trump has done.

Only a few weeks ago, Trump singularly upset the whole election apple cart! That’s what he’s done!

Trump set the national agenda by opposing illegal immigration and bringing up other issues that the GOPe and their allies desperately wanted to avoid, and now they can’t. No one would even be talking about illegal immigration today if Trump hadn’t forced the issue.

The GOPe was not prepared for this, and as a consequence they don’t have a clue about what to do, hence their almost universal collapse into a pile of quivering jello, flip-flopping like a bag of Mexican jumping beans dumped on a hot griddle. That’s what Trump has done.

Trump has exposed those who pretend to be conservative but are really just fronts for big money establishment campaign donors who purchase their candidates with campaign “donations”. Trump has ripped the facade off of the fake “conservative” websites that are really fronts for the modern aristocracy as part of the plan to fool the people into thinking at least SOME of the institutions are on their side. That’s what Trump has done.

Trump, by actually being a real man, has exposed the other candidates and their allies for the weak little sniveling sellouts that they really are.

Trump’s vociferous truth-telling and fearless neutering of the kommie media have been the catalyst that triggered a massive revolt amongst conservative voters who are infuriated at the GOPe Congress doing absolutely ZERO to stop Obama’s agenda, and suddenly the GOP RINO leadership is in full blown panic mode and in full blown retreat, and the SMALL conservative House contingent smelt blood in the water, took heart, and charged in against a weakened, frightened and paralyzed GOPe leadership, and Boehner was taken out as a sacrificial lamb. That’s what Trump has done.

Without Trump taking on the enemedia and beating them, the first time this has been done since Reagan, Cruz and the rest would be quivering before their concerted assaults and spending all of their time apologizing for having accidentally strayed into the shallows of political correctness and saying something Black Lives Matter or the Southern Poverty Law Center hate groups hated with consequent massive amplification by the enemedia as they pounded their PC drums against the GOP. That’s what Trump has done.

Trump is absolutely correct when he says that without Trump in the race, everything would be same-ol’, same-ol. The Joyful Tippy-Toes Turtle would be creeping closer to the finish line, Boehner would still be safely ensconced as Speaker, and there would be no mention of illegal immigration are any of the issues surrounding it by any politician in either party, other than possibly how critical it would be to pass immigration “reform”. That’s what Trump has done.

After only four state primar elections, Trump has already taken out all but one GOP RINO candidate. That’s what Trump has done.

Trump has used the enemedia against itself, exposed FNC for being Rupert Murdoch’s personal propaganda channel, and made the other cable networks realize they can grow their ratings by playing more fairly. That’s what Trump has done.

Trump has attracted the “big tent” coalition that the GOPe always professed it wanted, but never really did, by appealing equally to all demographic groups, whether they be rich or poor, educated or uneducated, old or young, male or female, blue collar or white collar, north or south, east or west. That’s what Trump has done.

The media are loath to make the connection, but it’s obvious that the Boehner resignation was yet another falling domino, toppling due to the Trump Effect, because Trump’s unabashed truth-telling and fearless neutering of the kommie media triggered a revolt amongst the great unwashed GOP masses which emboldened a few conservative Congress critters to grow a few pairs. That’s what Trump has done.

Trump’s coalition of voters have panicked the Senate into growing a backbone and standing up to Obama by refusing to consider any Supreme Court nominee until the next President is in office. That’s what Trump has done.

And our nation wouldn’t even be having ANY of these conversations about illegal immigration and the myriad of other Obammunist issues destroying our country if it wasn’t for Trump. Instead, we’d simply be debating which RINO, GOPe squish would be least likely to be stomped by Hillary, and the GOPe would once again be exhorting the “base” about how critical it is for us to once again vote for the “lesser of two evils”, that is, vote for the GOPe side of the Uniparty coin. That’s what Trump has done.

And do note that ALL of the oligarchs and plutocrats are frightened to death of Donald Trump because the billionaires and millionaires can’t buy him like all of the other politicians they routinely purchase, because Trump doesn’t need nor want their money, and the kommie media is frightened to death of him because he isn’t afraid of them either, the bottom line being that Donald Trump can not be controlled by the rich and powerful or the corrupt media, so for anyone who is truly for campaign finance reform and wants to take money out of politics, voting for Trump is the only reasonable choice. That’s what Trump has done.

Donald J. Trump is the very epitome of the anti-social-justice-warrior, and he’s galvanized an entire nation of the like minded who have been desperately waiting for years for a leader who could lead them from the desert of political correctness.

President Trump is really the last hope for this country: if he can’t undo any of the damage wrought by the Obammunists, the U.S.A. is done.

So least we forget, the above, and much more, are called “The Trump Effect”.

The little trumps have circled the wagons around their Clown Prince.

They think that by supporting Trump they are somehow taking it to the man, taking it to whoever they’re mad it.

He’s hypnotized them to that extent.

Every negative story that comes out about Trump just causes them to ramp up their Trump defenses.

The article here is absolutely right. Donald Trump doesn’t care about being president in order to do anything. He won’t. It’s just another trophy, somewhat bigger than a trophy wife.

He’s fooled so many people and they are so determined to be fooled.

It would be amusing if it wasn’t putting us all in danger.

Because Trump said in the debate that he had really large credentials. And a wallet, too, of course.

Poor deluded Teddy Bares. Nothing good to say about their Teddy Bare, so they think it's ok to denigrate and belittle Trump supporters so people will wake up to the "goodness" of St. Teddy.

Teddy is a smarmy lying lawyer who will take money from anybody. His core is rotten, and the outer shell is being revealed daily. He is a loser. LOSER!

Totally agree.

Trump only cares about Trump.

Looking at all those women made me think of Trump’s latest wife. She was standing a few feet from him during the O’Reilly interview after the debate.

There was something odd about her demeanor and about their interaction. She seemed afraid that she might say or do something wrong. She seemed afraid of stepping too close to Trump. I sensed no real closeness or affection. I could be wrong but that’s the way it looked.

Define ‘they’ and while you’re at it define Donald’s stand on illegals.

Why won’t he let the NY Times release the tape of him discussing just that?
