Someone who is confident in their leadership abilities doesn’t feel the need to say things that make him sound like a tyrant either.
He made no suggestion that he would command soldiers to murder innocent children.

Our soldiers are not mind controlled robots. Each and every one of them is taught about the penalty for following illegal orders in basic as a part of UCMJ training.
It is made very clear that “I was following orders” might just get you hung.

I’ve been hearing variations of these tax reform ideas every election for about 50 years. The tax code cannot be simplified until the concept of government moves away from a mommy state / big brother who decides what is best for us, how much to steal from us, and what to buy with it.
As long as people believe taxes are justifiable, and the govt has a right to tax, especially someone else (as in the growing popularity of the irrational concept of income inequality), no one in the govt is going to disavow them of that notion.
