Weird coincidence, though. Nixon had been in Dallas at a Pepsi bottlers meeting just prior to Kennedy’s assassination. He flew out of Dallas on the morning of Nov 22, 1963.

From the Google newspaper archive...Nixon making comments on Kennedy dropping Johnson as VP for the 1964 election. Comments made just prior to Kennedy’s assassination.

No, not JFK. It was the Democrat machine in Cook County. I believe to this day JFK was an 'honorable' man.

Were he to run today, in the climate we now have, he would be the 'Trump'.
