They Called Carson onto the stage and he didn't hear it - that's the going story - so he waited.

Cruz came next, looked at him smiled and went out when his name was called.
Trump, never to be outdone on theatrics, stood next to Carson when his name was called.

The remaining candidates passed the top of them like “whatever guys...”. And ABC had to call for Carson and Trump a second time.

Way too much made of that whole episode. Dr Carson didn't hear his name called over the applause in the building. Other candidates were uncertain what to do. Trump waited, others didn't.

It was an awkward moment, but no one was made a fool and no one was especially heroic and no one was rude.

I don't understand why people are making are making more of it than they should.

I personally see it as 1. Carson did not hear his name called.
2. Trump stood by him vs. strolling past him as the others had done.

Perspective from each of us is going to vary. End of story.

I place the blame on ABC who didn’t have the wherewithall to let the applause die down before introducing the next guy.
