It’s becoming clear that Ted Cruz’ backers and on the scene coordinators are not ethical. We all understand politics is a dirty business but there’s a line that is not to be crossed.

By making a lie that Carson was dropping out, Carson voters went to Cruz. This could have influenced the outcome. Donald is correct, this is vote fraud and Ted is responsible for the conduct of his campaign people.

The mailers were also very distasteful but probably had no effect on the outcome. Still this action shows the attitude and mindset of Cruz’ campaign backers and managers; not good.

How do Carson's voters going to Cruz mean a net positive for Trump? Obviously, they were not Trump voters. Rubio's campaign was heavily telling everyone this as well. Why isn't he going after Rubio?

I was on Twitter that night, and this was on CNN, which started an absolute avalanche of Tweets.

Before you accuse Cruz's people of not being ethical, have you seen the recnet Trump tweets which make up horrible lies about people taking money and/or begging for jobs from him? They easily proved with a paper trail that they did not - the two most recent are Bob Vander Plaats and Cheri Jacobus. He's disgusting. How you defend THIS defamation is beyond me. I don't understand.

how can you assume that all of carson’s voters would have gone exclusively to cruz? on what basis?

isn’t that a bit of a stretch?

there is no statistical validity to that assumption.

I get it...people are upset about this, but lets not lose our critical thinking skills.

I live in Iowa...and I am engaged in the political scene here. I can tell you this, for a FACT:

there is little fire here in IA for Ben carson. he is not that popular here. he finished 4th in this caucus, and his vote totals, by county, were consistently...4th, by percentage. little variation across the state, county to county.

this was a non-issue, in my opinion.
