James Caan’s two great roles were Jonathan E. in Rollerball, and Sonny Corleone in Godfather I. Everything else he’s done is at best second rate, IMHO.

If you have not seen Misery (directed by Rob Reiner, I know) then you should. A thoroughly good film.

Caan was also great in “Thief” by Michael Mann of “Miami Vice” fame. It also had great acting by the late Robert Prosky.
