Last month, a town hall was held in Brentwood, Tenn., to discuss Islam in schools.

The crowded town hall was filled with concerned parents questioning the motives of the seventh grade textbook in question.

Complaints ranged from the textbook's clear bias toward Islam to possible "indoctrination" of the impressionable minds of young students.

Some parents also complained about "supplementary" material supplied by the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). [...]

On Jan. 20, Tennessee state legislators Rep. Matthew Hill (R-Jonesborough), Rep. Timothy Hill (R-Blountville) and Rep. Micah Van Huss (R-Johnson City) introduced legislation "to officially stop Islamic religious indoctrination in Tennessee schools." ...

The question is, who are the administrators or members of the school board that allowed this to happen?

The liberal progressives seethe over prayer in school, or the pledge of allegiance, God mentioned in class but they will not say a word about this in schools, ask yourself why?

And a Christian student refuses to visit a Mosque and is disciplined. If a field trip to visit a Christian Church was planned there would be nationwide outrage and the ACLU would sue in a minute.

This goes a lot deeper than may be suspected. I strongly suspect it’s coming out of the US Department of Education.

EXACTLY! Who is responsible for this indoctrination which is happening all across the country. Most noteworthy is that it is happening in states that are considered “red states”.

You don’t need legislation, the Governor of each state can stop this with the stroke of a pen. Why dont they?

The National Endowment for the Arts?

The National Education Association is a union that gets most of its money from dues.

Is islamic doctrine on creationism or homosexuality being taught as well? Why doesn't someone bring them up?

I'm so sick and tired of these rasslin' angles.

I haven’t heard about any of these schools teaching that Allah created Adam from clots of blood. At least not yet.

Brentwood is in 70% GOP county of Williamson due south of Nashville proper

Richest county in Tennessee and in the nation cost of living adjusted

The school board is split about even but there is a contingent of the usual suspect Christ haters and just stupid kumbaya women on the board

A hardcore leftist group funded by SEIU switch links to Valerie Jarrett is very active in board action and shouts down meetings and gloms social media action

It’s a struggle we will in time at least here win

The issue is we are being overrun by Yankees and some particularly many of the California ones are poison

Liberals have more free time and they recognize the power in brainwashing kids

I have actually argued with one Beverly Hills woman here and I told her y’all ruin everywhere you go....Kali liberals...just like you destroyed what you left

This will not end well in America

Two things really unite the left in western civilization now

THEY LOVE ABORTION

THEY HATE OR FEAR CHRISTIANITY

State house can fix this easiest
