Trump never was a member of the senate. What he says does not have the same consequences as what the lawmakers say and do.

There is nothing Trumpkins will not say or do to excuse Trump. Here we have Trump with a more liberal position than Cruz on the topic, yet you excuse Trump because he was not a senator. Pathetic. If that was a wrong position to hold in 2013 - it was wrong for both Cruz and Trump. If you accept that Trump's position has changed since then, you accept that Cruz's position has changed since then. You can't logically have one set of rules for Trump and another set of rules for everyone else. If you do, then you are admitting that your support has nothing to do with Trump or with his positions - you just want to burn things down and Trump is the match.
