Vice Prez Obama?

It’s high time to send the periscope up to make sure there’s no way possible for Obama to get back in when his time in office is over

‘Deal making’ has become the buzz word of the 2016 presidential election.

While all others have failed during the past eight years, business dynamo Donald J. Trump says he’s the only one who can make deals with the Democrats on the way to making America great again.

Trump has already proved himself triumphant in delivering the art of the impossible. He’s publicly slapped down Obama’s running dog media, changing their barks to whimpers, and has left the hideous corpse of that blatant hypocrisy known as the politically correct struggling to get back out of the mud.

The Vice President must be eligible to assume the office of President. Obama is disqualified by the 22nd Ammendment.

Can’t do it. Vice Presidents mut be eligible to assume the presidency, should the incumbent reach his demise.

Yeah but, when has a law stopped Barry from doing anything?

I would venture to say a Republican candidate would have standing in such a case. Not a lot of nuance open to interpretation in the 22nd.

... yeah .. what the other posters said .. plus Obama already said he wouldn’t run for President even if he were allowed to run for a 3rd term. He will be moving on.

Look for Chelsea to run for office in the next few years.

The 22nd Amendment only prevents someone from being ELECTED President more than twice. It does not say anything about being elected Vice President.
“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.”

You missed the Twelfth Amendment where it says: “But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States..” Not limited to electability.

The qualification for being vice president is exactly the the same as for being president. If you are qualified to be president, you are qualified to be vice president. If you are NOT qualified to be president, you cannot be vice president. Because of the 22nd Amendment, Obama would no longer be qualified to be president once his current term ends.

Technically, your opponent in argument is right. He could get elected, but he is not eligible to hold the office.
