They;re starting it here in L.A. too...and I;ll be in first in line.
All this is well and fine as long as they put up a sign saying there are “Bikini baristas” inside. Then public will know and those uninterested won’t go inside.
There’s one in town here that I patronize once or twice a month. In all honesty yes, the attractive young ladies are pleasant to look at (moreso than the pimply faced HS kid at the Starbucks in town). The local bikini place also has several other things going for it: it is locally owned/operated, not some big national conglomerate. It is on my way to work, not out of the way like Starbucks. It has a drive through, the SB doesn’t. The friendly young ladies have never royally screwed up my latte by forgetting the vanilla, or the espresso shots, or giving me a cup half full of foam. Don’t like it, don’t go. I don’t much like $5 for a latte, that’s why I only go once or twice a month when I’m really dragging.
