President Barack Obama resolved earlier this month, much to the surprise of Washington insiders, to open a third anti-terror front in Libya to eradicate the Islamic Front’s tightening grip on the country. This top-secret decision was first revealed by DEBKA Weekly 692 on Jan. 1.

At the peak of the assault, large-scale US, British and French marines will land on shore for an operation first billed as the largest allied war landing since the 1952 Korean War. The attachment of Russian forces was negotiated later.
According to this scenario, one group will be dropped ashore from the Gulf of Sidra (see attached map) to seize the town of Sirte, a city of 50,000, where ISIS has located its central military command center in Libya.
This group will then split up into two task forces. One will head south to take over Tripoli and its oil fields 370 kilometers away and reinstate Libya’s central government, which had been exiled to Tobruk, at its seat in the capital. On its way to Tripoli, the force will take control of three renegade towns: Misrata, Zliten and Khoms.
The second task force will head north to capture the eastern Libyan capital of Benghazi, seizing Ras Lanuf, 200 kilometers east of Sirte, en route. A second marine force will meanwhile land in eastern Libya to capture the radical Islamist stronghold of Darnah, a port city with 150,000 inhabitants.
The Obama administration will therefore be going into Libya for the second time in four years – only this time up front and on the ground - for three objectives:
1. Control of Libya’s oil and gas fields.
2. Stripping ISIS of its jumping-off base for terrorizing Europe, especially Italy, from across the Mediterranean.
3. Saving Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco from the noose ISIS and Al Qaeda are pulling around them from their back yard.

Remember the Russians ‘overshooting’ the Germans in WW2? They ‘didn’t get the word’ that they were hitting Americans. Patton lined up 110+ rocket launchers and let them loose all at once. The Russkies stopped.

First, why would you make an opposed landing right into the heart of your enemy's strength? You think ISIL may be set up to defend their headquarters? Yeah? How about making a relatively unopposed landing somewhere else nearby (landing operations are when you are most vulnerable) and then forming up and hitting the defenses?
The "plan" to head south to Tripoli? Fool, Tripoli is northwest of Sirte. The primary oil fields are southeast, and Benghazi is northeast. This calls into question the author's (or planners') basic grasp of geography. Also, the notion of splitting your forces and heading off in to different directions leaving your logistics point/landing point relatively undefended doesn't sound smart. This is a lot of territory to cover, against an enemy that is small, camouflaged, and mobile. Not a smart plan.
Finally, and perhaps most disturbing - why would you publicize your plan in advance? Ever hear of a thing called OPSEC? Idiots all.
Not to worry the oddities of the plan are to throw the bad guys into uncontrollable laughter such that they will be easy to take out by the Russian contingent ... Did I excerpt the part about the Russians? Must be old age ... you think?

It's Debka, so it probably isn't. Think of the resources required to bring in 6-8 divisions over a beach, then engage in urban, house to house fighting on two fronts.
For Kuwait, about 11 divisions of western troops were committed, plus ancillary units (not counting Egyptian and Saudi forces).

Obama has to distract the troops while he prepares his own ‘invasion’ by taking control of the election process and crowning Bernie the new king of the Hill ... there will be such an public and media outrage that no one will notice there was no 2016 election.
Not really .. the plan came out of the WH (at VJ’s insistence after a protracted battle with her handlers in Iran) to disrupt the Trump vs Cruz battles on FR by making those with a modicum of military experience literally die laughing and so swing the election to Bernie ... there were no vegetables involved - you are likely mixing this up with the US Navy’s purchase of $1.5 Billion in bio-fuel to power its conventional ships - maybe made with onions?
The worst part is they are not idiots. They don’t care about American loss of life, only Muslim loss of life. I pray to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that this is not true.
If this is true, why are we announcing this to the world? And where is the former Libyan army?
Debka is Israeli in origin - so they are posting it to drive people who might think the plan presented is real ... all the while the real plan is cooking on a Pentagon/Kremlin pot ... just a trial balloon and a warning to ISIS.
Debka is like Alex Jones, when they tell the truth, you don’t know whether to believe them or not.
