6 BUY, EVERYBODY: Trump Paid Actors to Cheer and Hoist 'Homemade' Signs at Campaign Launch

While some suspect 'conservative' media to be in Trump's pocket -or at least sourcing revenue from said pocket- still more are now scratching their head at Palin's highly-dubious endorsement of a pro-abortion non-conservative (who thinks mocking disabled people is funny)... so it's time to wonder what the value is of Trump's much-trumpeted
'can't be bought' spiel, now that he appears to be the one doing the buying.

Small wonder the corrupt, self-serving GOPe thinks their interests could be potentially better served by electing a wheeling, dealing quasi-dictator instead of a principled man -and proven conservative- like Ted Cruz.

Flashback to last June when Trump was making his announcement at
Trump Towers in Manhattan, where he couldn't get more than a handful of people to show up for the press event assembled to launch the campaign.

The Donald's agency put out a casting call for $50/pop for actors to fill the room, wear his T-shirts, cheer, and hold up signs -including some fake 'homemade' ones produced by the campaign themselves.

Of course the Trump campaign attempted to smother the story, but there's little denying that the call went out... and if you look at the photos from that event, the 'supporters' seem to fit the narrative... what I see is immigrants, homeless, and kids that need a few bucks.

Hollywood Reporter:
New York-based Extra Mile Casting sent an email last Friday to its client list of background actors, seeking extras to beef up attendance at Trump's event.
"We are looking to cast people for the event to wear t-shirts and carry signs and help cheer him in support of his announcement," reads the June 12 email, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
"We understand this is not a traditional 'background job,' but we believe acting comes in all forms and this is inclusive of that school of thought." (Read the full email at the bottom of the post.
The pay was listed as $50 for less than three hours of work. According to the email, Extra Mile was reaching out to potential extras in partnership with Gotham Government Relations and Communications, a New York-Based political consulting group that has worked with Trump in the past. Gotham GR had no comment.

Other reports had him filling halls at earlier events
-where Trump always touted crowd size-
by paying attendees $50/pop as well...

Seems Trump learned a hard lesson when he spoke at CPAC.

When one of my late uncles was a kid Mayor Jim Curly’s guys would give ‘utes ten cents to start clapping and cheering at different points around the venue.

National Review was paid off to write the hit piece. The Bush people still have some money to throw around.

Can we end the silly season now? This is false and has been proven false.

Desperation must do this to people.

He didn’t buy Palin. She likes him and always has.

Jealous much. She was disgusted by Cruz’s choices in buddies.

If true, this does not bother me in the least! It is the mark of a good businessman to leave nothing to chance. He knew that his announcement would be met with skepticism by many in the media so making sure that there were people carrying signs and wearing T-shirts present shows he had prepared for every eventuality. Everyone knows that the Dems do this all the time, yet it is never mentioned or criticized by the MSM. Obviously, he is not paying the thousands of people who are now attending his rallies every day!

I’m pretty certain not one of the 14,500 people at the Columbus, OH Trump rally I went to, who stood in line, were paid act is. Can’t say the same about the do-called protestors outside.

The original poster said nothing about Cruz. He could be for Santorum, Huckabee, Carson, or any other candidate. Or he could just be pointing out the obvious...that Trump is a manufactured product, a TV image, but not a conservative.

I was at the 14,500-attended Columbus OH event. It’s insulting to say that was “astroturfed.” We drove an hour, then stood in line to get in. Packed to the gills.

Have you noticed that if a person likes Trump it must be he bought them.

TDS sufferers are proof of why people move to Trump. Perhaps Cruz “bought them”. LOL

Who cares? Go Trump!

I think that just may be the definitive Trump slogan of 2016.

Much more true meaning comes through than with his shallow copied version of Reagan's "Make America great again."

blame lawyers for this. We live in a highly litigious society, if he didn’t pay for it he probably get sued

Oh just noticed Cruz was a lawyer :p

Its not like Trump needed to fake it, his crowd is larger than anyone

Twist your panties back around...

Hiring people to attend political rallies is astroturfing....even a 14,500 person event.

Did Trump do it ?...I doubt it, but the story is out there...
